George Washington University Installs Emergency Contraceptive Machine

Emergencies can come in many unexpected forms…that includes the need for contraceptives.

George Washington University, in Washington DC, has installed its new contraceptive vending machine for just such emergencies.

The machine takes credit cards, and charges $25 for “emergency contraception pills,” otherwise known as “Plan B.”

The machine is a result of successful lobbying by students in response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe Vs. Wade last summer.

The machine also dispenses Tylenol and tampons for those who might need those, as well.
