A 76-year-old Florida woman shot and killed her terminally ill husband in a Daytona Beach hospital, police say.
Officers were called to the hospital on Saturday and found Ellen Gilland barricaded inside her husband Jerry's hospital room on the 11th floor.
Police were able to convince her to put the gun down and took Gilland into custody, where she faces first-degree murder charges.
Gilland told police she and her husband had made a pact that she would end his life if his health continued to worsen.
