CLEVELAND - A lost 1915 movie filmed in Akron featuring notable people from the past was discovered in Los Angeles.
Periscope Film discovered the film "The Portage Trail." Periscope Film provides stock footage and preserves historical films. The film is a 16-minute black-and-white film that follows the journey of a man who travels to Akron to find work at a rubber factory. The man falls in love with a woman he saves from purse snatchers. The film includes many well know Akron Landmarks and shows what the city looked like over 100 years ago.
