Some 10,000 mink are roaming free in Ohio, after a local farm was vandalized.

Authorities in Van Wert County say as many as 40,000 mink were freed from their cages at Lion Farms on Monday night.

About 10,000 animals remain unaccounted for, with the rest either recaptured or killed by passing vehicles.

Investigators believe a group known as the Animal Liberation Front could be behind the vandalism, based on graffiti that read 'ALF' and 'we'll be back'.
