CLEVELAND - The 2023 Spring Training schedule includes 20 exhibition games featuring Major League Clubs competing with World Baseball Classic National Teams, World Baseball Classic Inc. announced on Wednesday. Ten games with World Baseball Classic ties will be played in both the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues across March 8th-9th, preceding the Saturday, March 11th start of 2023 World Baseball Classic tournament play in the Phoenix and Miami pools.
The Guardians will play team Mexico in Goodyear on March 8th. First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Team Mexico will hold their spring training camp at the home Arizona Diamondbacks in Scottsdale, Arizona.
