"It allows me to brag about (our) organization, that part makes me really happy... that's the part that's fun." Terry Francona won his third Manager of the Year Award but wanted to give credit to everyone on the team.
Terry Francona is taking home AL Manager of the Year honors. The Guardians head-man beat out Orioles manager Brandon Hyde and Mariners skipper Scott Servais. This is Francona's third time receiving the award after winning it in 2013 and 2016. The veteran manager led Cleveland to a division title and a Wild Card round victory over the Rays.
