Bob Feller Act of Valor Award presented to the USS Cooperstown

CLEVELAND- This Morning, the USS Cooperstown was awarded The Bust of Bob Feller by the Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation, The National Baseball Hall of Fame, and the Guardians.

Chief Petty Officer Terry Spain, who served 21 years in the Navy, presented the bust to the crew of the USS Cooperstown.

Accepting the award on behalf of the crew of the USS Cooperstown were CDR Evan Wright and Senior Chief Petty Officer Keona Johnson.

The Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation represents the 39 National Baseball Hall of Fame Members who fought in WWII.

They served in WWII led by Bob Feller, the first professional athlete to enlist two days after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
