WESTLAKE - On Tuesday, August 2nd, Westlake Police held an active shooter drill to ensure they would be ready if they ever received a real call. They were hoping to avoid a situation country witnessed in Uvalde, Texas. The exercise took place at Parkside Intermediate School at 24525 Hilliard Boulevard. Police received a few fictitious 9-1-1 calls and reacted to the call as if it were an actual call. You can see pieces of the training below.
