Two Dead and One Injured After Stabbing in Seven Hills Over Holiday Weekend

SEVEN HILLS - On Sunday, July 3rd, police responded to a call on East Pleasant Valley Road in Seven Hills. When police arrived, they found three people had been stabbed. The suspect, 33-year-old Joseph Walter, is accused of stabbing and killing his 85-year-old Grandmother Carol Jereb, and his 62-year-old mother, Laurene Worthington. Both would later die at a local hospital. Joseph Walter's brother was also stabbed but survived the attack and is said to be in stable condition. Walter will be arraigned later on two counts of aggravated murder. Joseph Walter could potentially face the death penalty if convicted. Based on Cuyahoga County court records, Joseph Walter has no prior arrests on his record.
