Indiana Governor Vetoes Transgender Sports Bill - GOP Plan To Override

Indiana House Republicans are planning to override Gov. Eric Holcomb's veto of a bill that bans transgender girls from playing girls school sports.

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has vetoed a bill that would ban transgender athletes from women's school sports teams.

Holcomb, a Republican, said the bill "leaves too many unanswered questions" as to how it would be applied and would be left open to legal challenges.

Holcomb did seem to agree with the ban in principle, calling it "a worthy cause".

Nearly a dozen states have adopted similar laws over the past year.
