President Volodymyr Zelensky said the people of Ukraine are "approaching our victory" in a video address on Tuesday.
Speaking to the UK parliament, Zelensky said Russian troops were fleeing the battlefield and abandoning equipment: "Russian troops are, in fact, one of the suppliers of equipment to our army."
He also called on Russian troops to surrender: "On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I give you a chance. Chance to survive."
Zelensky is set to address the United States Congress this morning at 9am eastern
