United States President Joe Biden and Russia President Vladimir Putin have agreed to meet on Thursday, February 24th if Russia does not invade Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron has spoken with both leaders by phone to try to help prevent a war.

The US has expected Russia to invade Ukraine any day, especially with Russia positioning at least 150,000 troops along the Russia-Ukraine border, and a report that Russia had given an order to invade. Diplomatic talks are expected to continue between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The US has evacuated its embassy workers in Ukraine, and has advised its citizens to leave as well.
