Inflation continues to surge in the U.S., reaching a 40-year high last month.
According to the latest Consumer Price Index, prices rose 7.5% in the month of January, the fastest spike since 1982.
Food, energy, and shelter costs account for most of the surge, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
