(Cleveland, OH) - The Ohio Department of Transportation is warning motorists in Northeast Ohio about possible hazardous roads later this week.
ODOT officials said they have been monitoring for rain because it could wash away treatment on the roads too soon before a winter storm is expected on Wednesday.
Engineers say drivers should pay close attention to bridges and overpasses where ice is likely due to cold air passing underneath the road surface.
Forecasters predict heavy snow mixed with wintery precipitation for most of Central and Northern Ohio.
