(Cleveland, OH) - There are new apartments coming to the stretch of Bolivar Road between Progressive Field and Playhouse Square.
New York developer SomeraRoad has a goal with the new apartment building: to enliven area of downtown Cleveland that connects the Gateway District to Playhouse Square and build 184 apartments in the seven-story, 272,000-square-foot building.
SomeraRoad bought the properties, along with a 140,000 square-foot office building next door, in April 2019 for an undisclosed price.
Designs by the Desmone architectural firm show that most of the building would be centered around a deck and pool on the third floor.
It would also include about 3,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space and amenities for residents, including a fitness center.
The commission still has to give final approval before the project can go forward.
SomeraRoad development director Andrew Donchez says that a date to start construction is still yet to be determined.
