Cleveland Indians Cancel 2022 In-Person Guardians Fan Fest

Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Indians, now Guardians, Friday announced the cancellation of 2022 Guardians Fan Fest as an in-person gathering to protect the health and safety of players and fans during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the second straight year the event has been cancelled due to the pandemic.

In a statement from the team, "Typically held in January, our annual Fan Fest serves to connect our players with both fans and media in an intimate indoor environment. As we looked forward to the event this offseason, the uncertainty of COVID and the related safety protocols limiting player interaction with fans and media added additional risk to the success of the event. After careful consideration the decision was made to cancel the event this offseason."

In its place, the organization is currently pursuing a virtual event this offseason prior to the start of the 2022 regular season. Details of the event will be announced at a later date..
