Westlake Police Blotter-Report Of A Baby Cow On The Loose

Animal at Large

On 10/2/2, WPD received a call reporting a baby cow was reported heading from Avon to Westlake, on Detroit Rd.. Responding units were unable to locate the animal. A short time later, the owner of the cow reported she had returned home and all is fine.

Theft from/of Autos

Over weekend, WPD received several calls of vehicles being entered and items taken. Additionally, several vehicles had actually been stolen as well. This is just another reminder to keep vehicles locked and to remove valuable items.

Fraud

On 10/4/21, WPD received a report that he received a phone call from Publisher’s Clearing House, requesting gift cards be purchased and victim would win the contest. The victim did not fall for the scam and there was no money loss. nother reminder to be extremely careful/cautious on such calls.

Weapons

On 10/5/21, WPD officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. During the on scene investigation and search of the vehicle, officers found a .45 caliber pistol. The search also revealed drug paraphernalia and the operator having a suspended license. The subject was arrested and booked into WPD jail.

Altercation

On 10/6/21, WPD received a call of an altercation involving a male and female. Officers were able to locate the subjects, but neither spoke English. With the assist of an interpreter, officers were able to ascertain the circumstances and neither party wished prosecution. No injuries were found and both were sent on their way.
