Cleveland, OH - Late this morning, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested 35-year-old Desmond Beasley.
Beasley is facing dozens of criminal charges, including eight counts of rape, four counts of sexual battery, and one count of attempted rape. Many of his victims, who range in age from 13 to 18 years old, were his former students from the dance studio he worked at in Parma called, Dance Dance Dance.
Members of the U.S. Marshals task force began looking at every possible lead into Beasley’s whereabouts, including the possibility that he may have left the state. This morning, the task force arrested Beasley without incident at a home on High St. in Bedford. He was then taken to the Cuyahoga County jail where he will remain until his court appearance September 29.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Anyone who preys on children will be a top priority of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. No stone will go unturned until predators like this are off the streets.”
