Browns WR Donovan Peoples-Jones Prepared to Battle with Chiefs

On if there is a different energy now that the team is preparing for Week 1 compared to training camp and the preseason:

“It feels good. It definitely feels like a game week. We are just excited to be out here.”

On if thinks back to how far he has come since the team played the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round:

“Every game I try to learn on. Definitely, I watched that game a lot of times, it being our last game of the season. Definitely just want to learn and build.”

On if he has watched a lot of film from the Browns-Chiefs game in the AFC Divisional Round:

“Yes, sir.”

On if the Chiefs have changed much defensively since last season:

“I feel like every team changes a little bit, but we are studying them, and we are prepared for what they do.”

On if there will be a difference for him this year after opponents learned more about his abilities and roles during his rookie season:

“I am just coming out here doing what I love, not really having any expectations and just being me.”

On evaluating where he has grown the most during the offseason, training camp and preseason:

“Conditioning. I feel like overall, being on the offense and learning how our offense works from being in it the second time around. Also, the defense and kind of knowing where the ball is going to be and better at reading coverages. All around.”

On if the Browns coaching staff gave him specific areas to focus on during the offseason:

“Yeah, there are always talks from what they think we need and then we kind of base that with personally what you think you need and kind of combine the two.”

On if he can share what specific areas the Browns coaching staff identified as opportunities for improvement during the offseason:

“There were a lot of things (laughter).”
