Historic Weekend Schedule at Put-in-Bay Released

(Cleveland, OH) -Each year Put-n-Bay celebrates the anniversary of Oliver Hazard Perry's defeat of the British fleet in The Battle of Lake Erie on September 10, 1813, and the enduring peace between the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada for more than 200 years.

The celebration and events happen around September 10th and the 20+ years tradition is expanding now to include all of South Bass Island.

Here's the line-up this year:

9/10: 12:30pm- Jet Express Departs for wreath laying ceremony.

3:15pm- Celebration of end of battle with noise. i.e. boat horns, cheers, church bells, carronade, etc.

7:00pm Flag retirement ceremony- by the flag poles.

9/11: 11:00am- 208th Battle of Lake Erie and 20th Anniversary of 9/11 Ceremony at the Memorial.

12:00pm- Musket

1:00pm- Artillery

2:00pm- Musket

3:00pm Artillery/ Musket/ Mounted

9/12:11:00am- Musket Demo

12:00pm- Artillery

1:00pm- Musket

2:00pm- Artillery

3:00pm- Artillery/Musket/ Mounted demo

4:00pm- Musket/ Carronade
