Cleveland Police are Investigating Incidents from September 1-2

Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating the following incidents that took place on September 1st-2nd.

A fatal overdose at 3314 Riverside Ave. A 31-year-old male victim died of an overdose. He was taken to Lutheran Hospital.

A fatal overdose at 11103 Kinsman. A 72-year-old male died due to an overdose. 

A fatal overdose at 6914 Park. A 30-year-old male died due to an overdose.

Two shootings at 4006 Lee Rd. A 19-year-old male victim suffered two gunshot wounds to back and a 20-year-old male victim suffered a gunshot wound . EMS took both men to University Hospital.

A shooting at 11100 Euclid at University Hospital A 25yr male victim suffered a gunshot wound to chest. The incident occurred at E. 108 St & East Blvd. The male was discovered in a vehicle by members of University Circle Police Department who transferred him to the hospital for treatment.

A homicide investigation. On September 1, 2021 at approximately 5am, a male called 911 reporting that he had shot his wife at the location of 1327 E. 90th Street. Officers arrived on scene and an elderly male and two children exited the home uninjured. Members of the SWAT unit responded to the scene and made entry. A female was discovered shot and deceased inside of the home. A male suspect was discovered with a gunshot wound to his head and was conveyed to UH by EMS. Members of the Homicide Unit responded to the scene for investigation. No one else was found to be inside of the home. Further investigation revealed that the children are the victim and suspect’s children and the elderly male is the suspect’s father. The male suspect was pronounced deceased at the hospital on the evening of September 1, 2021. This incident is being investigated as a murder/suicide.
