(Kirtland) - Kirtland Chief of Police Lance Nosse has been suspended for 30 days, pending further investigation of allegations against him that include lying, neglect of duty, harassment, unbecoming conduct, and drinking before driving a city-issued vehicle.
Mayor Kevin Potter had recommended that Chief Nosse be terminated. A hearing was held by City Council Monday night, and it was decided that the chief would be suspended. He'll have anoter hearing on Monday, August 2. The second hearing was agreed to, in part, because Nosse's attorney says he and his client had only a day and a half to prepare for Monday's hearing.
