Cleveland Police Items of Interest for July 1st-2nd

Cleveland , OH - The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating the following incidents that took place July 1-2, 2021.

A fatal overdose at 3430 Warren Rd Apt 3. A 62yr old female victim died from a fatal overdose. The victim has a history of drug use.

A homicide investigation at 10907 Woodland Ave. A 46yr old male victim suffered multiple fatal gunshot wounds to the body. On Thursday, July 1, 2021 at approximately 1119pm officers responded to 10907 Woodland Ave in connection with a person shot inside a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and found a 2019 Kia Sorrento with a 46yr old male in the driver’s seat. The 46yr old male had multiple GSWs to the body. EMS arrived on scene and the male was pronounced. Members of the Homicide Unit responded for investigation. A person of interest has not been identified. This matter remains under investigation. 

A fatal crash at E. 139th St. and Miles Ave. On Friday July 2, 2021, at 220am a 2009 Haley Davidson Motorcycle was travelling westbound on Miles Avenue. The Harley Davidson was operated by a 37-year-old male with a 34-year-old female as the passenger. The male loss control of the vehicle negotiating a left turn at E 139th St. The Harley Davidson struck a curb ejecting the passenger to the roadway. The Harley Davidson continued and it along with the operator struck a pole near Miles Ave. and E 139th St. EMS was on scene where the 37yr old operator was pronounced. The 34yr old suffered several abrasions. This matter remains under investigation.
