City, CMSD, Work To Find Developers For Vacant School Buildings and Land

(Cleveland) - The City of Cleveland, and the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) are trying to find buyers and re-developers for a lot of vacant property.

The city and the CMSD had put up 12 vacant schools and seven vacant properties for offers. All offers for three sites were rejected, while two others drew no responses.

The remaining 14 properties all have offers and proposals made. The companies, individuals, and organizations that made the best proposals will offer up more concrete plans to the city and the CMSD.

Proposals for the properties range from senior citizen housing, to private schools, to parkland.

Proposed purchase price for all the properties is over $2.5 million.
