President Biden Visits Cuyahoga Community College & talks about the economy

Cleveland, OH - President Biden delivered remarks on the economy at Cuyahoga Community College after touring the school's Manufacturing Technology Center. He began by reminiscing about a campaign rally he was supposed to hold at Tri-C in March of 2020. The event ended up being cancelled due to the pandemic. The President said, "14 months later, we finally made it."

Near the beginning of his speech, the president touted the countries' vaccination rates, saying 50 percent of American adults and 75 percent of seniors are fully vaccinated. He also mentioned Ohio's first Vax-A-Million lottery winner.

“Who would have thunk it? A million bucks for getting the vaccine, but it’s working,” Biden said.

President Biden then went on to talk about the American Rescue Plan and his $1.7 trillion dollar infrastructure bill called the American Jobs Plan.

This was the president's first stop in Cleveland and second stop in Ohio since taking office.
