(Cleveland) - The FBI has arrested three of the four suspects in a series of carjackings in Greater Cleveland over the past three weeks.
It was on Sunday night that the FBI's Cleveland office put out surveillance photos of the four suspects. A 16-year-old was arrested Monday. A second suspect turned himself in Tuesday morning. A third suspect was arrested Thursday afternoon. The fourth is still being sought.
Assuming the suspects are all under age, they'll be turned over to local police, as federal charges can't be brought against juveniles.
The four are suspected in as many as nine carjackings, which have taken place as far west as the west side of Cleveland, as far south as Brooklyn, and as far east as Willoughby. The victim in one of the carjackings was Gina DeJesus, one of the three women who spent ten years in captivity in a house on the near west side. In nearly every one of the carjackings, a vehicle from a previous carjacking was used..
