(Cleveland) - One of the nation's premier basketball tournaments is going to be held in Cleveland this summer. The 17th annual Dru Joyce Classic will be held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and the Huntington Convention Center from June 25-27. The tournament is being held in Cleveland in conjunction with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
Dru Joyce, who coached LeBron James at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, started the tournament in 2003 to help athletes in Ohio see increased recruitment. The tournament now attracts players from as many as 15 states and three nations. It's expected to generate $2 million in economic impact to Greater Cleveland.
