Avon Lake School Eagles Hatch Third Egg

(Avon Lake) - As the Avon Lake City Schools say, the third time's the charm. On Thursday morning at 6:23, the third, and final, egg hatched in the eagle's nest in a tree behind Redwood Elementary School.

The pair of eagles, named "Stars" and "Stripes," have been living in that nest for a few years now. The Avon Lake schools have adopted the eagles as their own. The district put a live "Eagle Cam" above the nest that is available for anyone to wach online. To protect the eagles, there are restrictions on who can be in the area.
