(Cleveland) - About 400 people turned out Sunday in Cleveland's Asia Town neighborhood for a "Stop Asian Hate" rally. The rally was held because of the growing number of hate crimes against Asian people all over the country.
One woman taking part in the rally told our news partners at 3 News "my people are being abused and slaughtered, and nobody is talking about what Asian-Americans have gone through."
There have been hate crimes against Asian-Americans for years, but they have picked up during the pandemic, with some blaming China for the spread of coronavirus. There was also the mass shootings at Asian spas in Atlanta, of which most of the victims were Asian women.
