(Boulder, Colorado) - One of the victims of Monday's mass shooting at a King Soopers supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, grew up in Northeast Ohio.
The Denver Post and Boulder Daily Camera newspapers are reporting that 62-year-old Lynn Murray grew up in Mentor, and attended Ohio University. After college, Murray worked in New York City as a magazine photo editor, working for publications including Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire.
After retiring, Murray and her husband moved to Colorado. She took gig jobs, including working for Instacart, Uber, and Lyft.
Murray's daughter told the Daily Camera, “My mom was the least deserving person to die this way. She was the most beautiful person I ever met. She is the warmest, kindest, most positive person.”
Besides her husband and daughter, Lynn Murray is also survived by a son.
Members of the Mentor High School Class of 1977 are planning a memorial service for their classmate on Saturday at 10: a.m. in front of the high school.
