Cleveland, OH - A trail camera at Furnace Run Metro Park in Summit County captured the elusive Ohio bobcat.
The elusive footage is believed to be the first photographic evidence that the species lives at Furnace Run Metro Park.
According to Summit Metro Parks Chief of Conservation Mike Johnson, their presence in the park is a good sign for the environment.
Bobcats are harmless and are not known for attacking or harming people. They generally avoid being seen.
Johnson said the cats are known for their “tremendous, horrifying screech.”
Ohio has reported nearly 55 verified sightings of the animals since 2017.
