New York City, NY -- The Cavaliers got off to a sluggish start at Madison Square Garden, and the hometown Knicks took full advantage. Coach Tom Thibodeau's Knicks jumped to a 17-5 lead to begin the game and never let off of the gas pedal. Dominating on both sides of the floor, the New York Knickerbockers cruised to a 119-83 victory to close out their preseason.

Immanuel Quickley, rookie guard out the University of Kentucky, led the way for a young Knicks team with 22 points on 7-12 shooting. Second year forward Kevin Knox stretched out the Cavs zone defense with lights out shooting from the perimeter, knocking down 7 of 8 triples on his way to 20 points off of the bench.

Cedi Osman was the lone bright spot for the Cavaliers in what was an ugly game from start to finish. Osman led Cleveland in scoring with 19 points, shooting a consistent 7-8 from the field, and 5-6 from beyond the arc. In his first preseason game of the year, Collin Sexton struggled to find his usual rhythm, turning the ball over three times and shooting an atrocious 2-11.

The Cleveland Cavaliers finish their preseason with a 2-2 record, dropping both of their final two games to the New York Knicks. Cleveland will open up their regular season against the Charlotte Hornets at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday, December 23rd, Tip-off set for 7:00 pm ET.
