(South Euclid) - A shoplifter has been arrested by South Euclid police. His technique? He pretended to be a store employee.
South Euclid police posted this on their Facebook page They say that on Saturday, a man wearing a Walmart vest and khaki pants walked into the store on Warrensville Center Road. He pulled items off store shelves, then walked out there door with $380 dollars worth of unpaid merchandise.
Walmart loss prevention contacted police, and they found a man matching the description in the drive-thru of a nearby Popeye's Chicken.
South Euclid police detained the man, Walmart loss prevention confirmed he was the alleged thief. The 36-year-old Mansfield man has been charged with theft.
