Cuyahoga Falls Man Lucky To Be Alive After OVI Crash

OVI Crash In Streetsboro

Press release from the Streetsboro Police:

STREETSBORO, OH -  At approximately 9:30 Friday, William Booker (36 years old of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) was traveling east on SR 303 when he failed to control his vehicle. In the 200 block of SR 303, Mr. Booker traveled left of center and off of the north side of the roadway where he struck and snapped a telephone pole before coming to rest suspended in trees. Mr. Booker was charged with Operation Without Reasonable Control, a minor misdemeanor and Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence, a first degree misdemeanor. Additional charges are pending his toxicology results. Mr. Booker was driving a 2004 Silver Honda CRV which was towed from the scene. He was transported to UH Portage for non-life threatening injuries.

While this is a serious crash, we consider everyone extremely lucky today since Mr. Booker traveled into and across the oncoming lane of traffic on a busy State Route. It should serve as a reminder of how dangerous it is to operate a vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
