Cleveland Police Officer Shot In Arm

(Cleveland) - A Cleveland Police officer is recovering at home after being shot in the arm.

Police say that about 3 a.m. Sunday, they were called out to 2361 East 61st, between Central and Quincy, for an alarm going off at the house. As police were checking the house for signs of forced entry, one officer knocked on the door to check on anyone inside.

That's when shots were fired from inside the house. The officer was shot in the bicep. He was taken to University Hospitals. He was treated and released.

Members of the Cleveland Police SWAT team were called in. A woman was taken into custody. It hasn't been determined if the woman was the shooter.
