(Columbus) - Ohio had another record number of new COVID-19 cases on Friday, but not on Saturday.
Saturday, the state recorded 7,715 new cases of coronavirus, down from Friday's 24-hour number of 8,071. Friday was the first time Ohio recorded more than 8,000 new cases
Ohio's current daily numbers are far above the 21-day average of 4,497.
On Saturday, Ohio also recorded 14 COVID-19 deaths, 220 hospitalizations, and 23 admitted to intensive care.
