New Development in Hough

(Cleveland) - A Cleveland neighborhood that is still trying to recover after being hit hard by riots over 50 years ago is continuing with its rebirth.

This past weekend, in the Hough neighborhood, there was a groundbreaking for Allen Estates, a 26-home housing development along East 66th Street, very close to the renovated League Park baseball field, where the Indians played before moving to Cleveland Stadium.

It's all part of the 66th Street Corridor project, a plan to turn that street through Hough into a destination. The Cleveland Foundation has already planned to move to a new building in the area, which already has the Dunham Tavern Museum, and Chateau Hough Vineyards.
