(Cleveland) - The investigation goes on into a crash at a train crossing on Cleveland's West Side, in which the driver of a car that hit a freight train was found dead.
Cleveland Police, Fire, and EMS were called out to a railroad crossing at West 11th between Detroit and Clifton about 3:30 Monday morning. The 64-year-old woman behind the wheel of the car that was hit by an oncoming train was dead at the scene.
The railroad crossings between West 110th and West 117th were blocked off for hours while the investigation went on. It has not yet been determined why the woman drove across the train tracks with a train coming. The crossing does have warning lights and bells.
