Sedrick Hawkins, 25, Arrested For Murdering A Buckeye-Shaker Business Owner

Cleveland, Ohio– Early Monday morning, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Sedrick Hawkins, 25.Hawkins was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

On September 16, 2019 Larry Manno, 74, was found by his secretary at his landscaping business severely beaten, the business had been ransacked as well.Mr. Manno remained hospitalized for approximately a month where he later died from his injuries. Neighbors in the Buckeye-Shaker area assisted the Cleveland Division of Police in identifying Hawkins as the suspect.

The investigation into Hawkins’s whereabouts was turned over to the NOVFTF shortly after Mr. Manno’s death.The NOVFTF followed up on numerous leads, conducted dozens of interviews, and featured Hawkins as the Fugitive of the Week on two separate occasions over the past year. Today, investigators followed up on a tip from the community and were able to locate Hawkins in the Kinsman neighborhood.He was arrested without incident in the 3100 block of East 99th St.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “The community members in the Buckeye neighborhood did an outstanding job assisting police with identifying the suspect in the tragic murder of Mr. Manno.The Cleveland Police and members of the NOVFTF never gave up on finding Mr. Manno’s killer.Anyone who commits crimes such as this in our community will be sought until they are arrested and brought before the justice system for their crimes.”
