(Lorain) - The Lorain City Schools are now doing totally remote learning, but they're considering a resumption of in-person classes.
The Lorain Board of Education met Monday, and they were told by the district's CEO that plans are being made for in-person classes. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, there would be free testing for all students, faculty and staff.
The Lorain Schools administration will have a meeting Thursday to discuss the plans. No date for resumption of in-person classes has been determined.
Meanwhile, the Elyria City Schools have reported their first positive case of COVID-19, which has infected someone at Ely Elementary School. The Elyria Schools have contacted people in the affected classroom. Due to privacy reasons, they are not saying if it's a teacher or a student who tested positive.
