DETROIT, MI -- Following a high scoring game on Thursday night, both lineups went ice cold. Delino Deshields ripped a 1-out triple in the 5th inning, and was later brought home on a Francisco Lindor sac-fly, putting the tribe up 1-0. Cleveland pitching shut Detroit down for the entirety of the game, cruising to a narrow 1-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Zach Plesac got the nod for the visiting tribe and was nothing short of spectacular. The young right hander tossed 7.2 innings, giving up 5 hits while striking out 11 Tigers and walking one. Plesac tossed an immaculate inning in the 2nd inning, becoming just the third pitcher in Indians history to do so. Carlos Carrasco (2017) and Justin Masterson (2014) were the other two tribe pichers to toss an immaculate inning.

Friday's win goes to Zach Plesac, moving him to 4-2 on the year. Brad Hand earned his 13th save, leading the American League in that category. Detroit left hander Tyler Alexander gave up the lone run in the game, as he was hit with the loss moving to a 2-2 record.

Cleveland will look to clinch the 4-game series with their third consecutive win on Saturday evening. Saturday's matchup will pit Cleveland rookie Triston McKenzie against Detroit hurler Spencer Turnbull. First pitch is set for 6:10 pm ET at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan.
