CHICAGO, IL -- Indians reliever Phil Maton was one strike away from tip-toeing out of danger in the home half of the 10th inning. The right hander loaded the bases, before striking out back to back Cubs to put them on their heels. Chicago shortstop Javier Baez sat on a hanging curveball, stroking a line drive game winning single to left field, as the Cubbies edge past the Tribe by the final score of 3-2. Chicago won both games of the two-game series in walk-off fashion.

The Cleveland Indians woes continue, dropping their eighth straight game, the team's longest losing streak since the 2013 season. Francisco Lindor got the tribe going early in the first inning, scoring on a Jon Lester passed ball. Oscar Mercado drove in the only other run for the visiting Cleveland Indians, launching his first home run of the year.

The tribe will continue their 9-game road trip in the Motor City to take on the divisional rival Detroit Tigers. Indians ace Shane Bieber will take the mound for the tribe, matching up against Detroit hurler Casey Mize. First pitch is set for 7:10 pm ET at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan.
