Man Accused Of Pepper-Spraying Store Manager When Asked To Wear A Face Mask

(Peninsula) - Police are looking for a man who pepper-sprayed the manager of a Costco store, after that store manager told the man he couldn't come in if he wasn't wearing a face mask.

The Akron Beacon Journal says it happened Thursday morning. The man, dressed in all black, and wearing cargo-style tactical pants and tactical boots, refused to put on a face mask when asked.

As he was being escorted out, the man pepper-sprayed the store manager in the face, and fled in a white Ford Crown Victoria, similar to the ones driven by police. The vehicle had a spotlight on it, and a dark cover obstructing view of the license plate.

Costco stores nationwide are requiring shoppers to wear race masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
