(Columbus) - This is a weekend that shoppers look forward to, as Ohio has its annual sales tax holiday. The sales tax holiday starts at 12:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, and goes through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 9.
During the holiday, you don't have to pay sales tax on any item of clothing priced at $75 or less, or on any item of school supplies or instructional material priced at $20 or less.
The state has a page on their website where your questions about the sales tax holiday can be answered.
