Greater Cleveland Sports Commission Announces 4th Summer Golf Classic

Cleveland - Greater Cleveland Sports Commission will host its fourth Summer Golf Classic presented by First National Bank on Monday, August 17th at Cleveland Metroparks Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. The fundraiser will feature 18-holes in a best ball format while maintaining a safe distance on the course.

“We’re so excited to once again host our Summer Golf Classic fundraiser,” said David Gilbert, President and CEO of Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. “Proceeds from events like this are incredibly important to our small nonprofit to help us further our mission of improving and enriching the Northeast Ohio community.”

Each participant will receive a boxed lunch, beverages, a golf-themed gift and a gift card to a local establishment provided by Reliable Solutions Group. Tee It Up packages are available as an add-on option which includes entry into all contests including closest to the pin, longest drive, a putting contest and two mulligans per person. Awards and prizes will be sent to winners via mail at the conclusion of the tournament.

Foursomes and individual pricing range from $440 per group to $125 per golfer. Preregistration is required.

“The health and safety of all our participants is of utmost priority,” said Gilbert. “Our team is committed to increased cleaning, staggered tee times and social distance measures so that our golfers feel safe and enjoy their experience participating in this charitable tournament.”

In order to maintain social distance guidelines, individual tee times will be assigned to foursomes beginning at 9:00 a.m. More details on scheduled tee times will be sent prior to event date.
