Parma Police Catch Huntington Bank Robber

Parma - Parma Police have caught a man accused of robbing a bank Monday.

On March 2nd at approximately 4:00 PM, officers responded to the Huntington Bank located inside of the Giant Eagle at 7939 Day Drive for a report of a bank robbery.

The next day, the department received multiple tips in regards to the possible identity of the suspect.One of the tips led to the positive identification of 48-year-old Jason E. Nichta of Parma Heights.

Nichta was arrested shortly after leaving his residence and later admitted to his involvement in the crime. Nichta reportedly acted alone, and will be arraigned in front of Judge Kenneth Spanagel on March 5th in Parma Municipal Court. He is being charged with one count of robbery.
