North Olmsted - Police in North Olmsted asking for your help in finding the person responsible for shoplifting from an area store, then striking an officer, hospitalizing him Thursday evening.
Authorities say it happened at the Dillard's location inside Great Northern Mall. The woman had reportedly shoplifed items, then got in a car outside driven by another unknown suspect, who proceeded to try to get away. They then struck an officer who was pursuing them. That officer taken to an area hospital to be evaluated.
The vehicle, which is described as a gray Kia Sportage, may have a stolen dealer license plate of 003ADK.
