Bay Village -
On December 9, at 7:22pm, a UPS truck driver called Bay Village Police to report a suspicious vehicle in the area where he was delivering packages. The driver reported a black male exited a gold Buick and went up to a home after he had made a delivery. The homeowner, however, had already picked up the package. The driver lost sight of the Buick and police were called. The officers arrived but could not find the suspect vehicle. Bay residents are encouraged to call police if they see suspicious activity. Further, steps should be taken to ensure that delivered packages are safely retrieved.
On December 14, at 12:54am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. The female operator, a 30 year old Westlake resident, reported to police that she was hurrying home because of a medical emergency concerning her child. Police followed the vehicle home, investigated and found that there was no medical emergency. The operator was issued a ticket and strongly advised of the seriousness of her actions.
