New Airline To Use Seasonal Route Out Of Cleveland Hopkins

Cleveland - Sun Country Airlines today announced a new nonstop seasonal route from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE).

Fares start as low as $59* one-way.

“Continuing to grow in our home market is key for us, and we want to continue to offer more service to the places Minnesotans want to go,” said Sun Country Airlines Chief Executive Officer Jude Bricker. “We are adding four unique destinations including Cleveland for our leisure travelers to escape to this summer, whether that be to visit family and friends or to explore these great cities. We are excited about the growth happening at our airline as we carry more passengers than ever before, connecting even more guests to their favorite people, places and memories.”

The addition of nonstop seasonal service from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport by Sun Country Airlines is great news for our region,” said Mayor Frank G. Jackson. “Added flight service speaks to the appeal of our city throughout the U.S. and around the world.”

Sun Country Rewards members who book one of the new routes before 11:59 p.m. CT on Thursday, November 7th will earn four points per dollar on their bookings.

These routes are on-sale now here.

“We are pleased to add Sun Country to our growing list of air carriers at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE),” said Airport Director Robert Kennedy. “Although this announcement is for one market, we hope their success in Cleveland leads to additional service.”

In addition to the new route, Sun Country also announced it is extending its schedule through August 24, 2020, allowing guests to begin booking their summer vacations. Sun Country first began its extensive growth outside of its home base of MSP in June 2018. With today’s expansion, the airline operates a total of 91 routes across 55 airports and has grown its network by nearly 72 percent, announcing 46 new markets in 2019 alone.

Sun Country has added to its customer experience over the last year with free in-flight entertainment, a new mobile friendly website with more self-service tools, and new interiors on each aircraft. Later this year, the airline will launch kiosks in the MSP airport, making check-in quicker and more convenient.
