On October 3, at 8:15pm Bay Village Police were dispatched to Bay Methodist Church on report of a suspicious vehicle and operator in the parking lot. The initial caller report the vehicle was revving its engine in the lot. Police arrived and found the female operator, a 50 year old Bay Village resident, sleeping behind the wheel. Police suspected the operator was under the influence of alcohol. The operator failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. On station, the operator refused to provide a breath sample to police. She is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.
On October 4, at 7:14pm Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Bracken Way near Wolf Road for an equipment violation. Police spoke with the male operator, a 53 year old Parma resident, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The operator failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. On station, the operator refused to provide a breath sample to police. He is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

On October 5, at 1:04am Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Bassett Road south of Lake Road for several moving violations. Police spoke with the female operator, a 48 year old Cleveland resident, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The operator failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. On station, the operator provided a breath sample to police, registering a .097 blood alcohol content. She is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.
On October 5, at 2:52am Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Upland Road south of Wolf Road for several moving violations. Police spoke with the female operator, a 45 year old Bay Village resident, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The operator failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. On station, the operator refused to provide a breath sample to police. She is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.
On October 5, 2019 at 10:58pm Bay Village Police responded to a home in the 27000 block of Lake Road for a noise complaint. The police spoke with individuals on scene who stated that they rented the home from AirBNB. Numerous complaints came into the police station regarding large amount of party-goers including; fighting, public urination, marijuana use and gun shots. All of these were unfounded. The large party was eventually broken up with the help of mutual aid from RRPD, WLPD and Ohio State Highway Patrol.
On the morning of October 6th, the homeowner’s daughter arrived on scene and claimed the house was not rented and that no one should be in the home. The party host was contacted and was adamant that he rented the home. He was given the opportunity to produce paperwork regarding the rental. When he could not, he and several guests were evicted from the property. No arrests were made in the incident. A report was filed and charges may be warranted based upon further investigation.
